Afro Celt Sound System (ACSS) is a band, a collective of Celtic, Indian and African artists who play both traditional and modern instruments. The music and lyrics that ACSS produce are a reflection of the members diverse heritage and history, and have a huge global following, especially in the World Music scene.
The graphic elements of the show were split into three sections. The first 15 minute track was an introduction, an audio visual journey travelling through space to planet Earth on the starship Afro Celt. The middle half of the show consisted of six tracks, influenced by drum & bass and the dance scene. We made extensive use of animations created by Virtual VJ utilising 2Ci video and texture graphics, with the stunning art of Jamie Reid (a pop art veteran and ACSS album cover artist) edited with the digital video library. The last four tracks, as a finale of the show, had a remix edit using footage of past ACSS concerts combined with the 2Ci video graphics library and Virtual VJ effects.
