Bacardi-Martini commissioned 2Ci to create a 30 minute mix loop of branded video graphics, promoting the Bacardi B-Bar which has a presence at all the the major festivals, and through association, the various Bacardi Rum and Breezer brands.
The brief indicated the connections of the Bacardi brand to a Cuban heritage and the Latino-Caribbean party scene with its funky urban festival client base. Some DV footage of the B-Bar was provided, along with logo’s, which were then applied into graphic layouts with relevant elements from the video graphics library.
The 30 minute loop was edited and designed to synchronise with most club and party music. Bacardi were so pleased with the end result that it ran continuously in the reception of the UK head office, and was used for the B-Bar right up until the logo was updated. And then Bacardi commissioned an identical 30 minute loop, just updating the logo in 2004 (the logo shown in the above screenshots).
The Bacardi brand and style bible has also been written incorporating many of the visual ideas found in this 30 minute loop.
