Nettwerk record company approached 2Ci to remix the promo for Above & Beyond‘s 21st Century Edit remix of Delerium‘s hit track ‘Silence’. The remix promo edit had to be created from the final edit of the original promo, with no access to the full length original rushes.
The promo was re-ordered to make sense of the storyline about a powerful women, bound by the wrist to a blind man, who is holding back her progress as she runs towards the light, with him representing the darkness. The journey starts on a sandy beach, on across stones and pebbles until eventually they reach the cliff top. She is eventually set free after the two of them plunge into the sea from the cliff top. The footage was re-coloured, re-cut and time stretched where necessary, lighting effects applied and additional footage from the motion graphics library mixed into the edit. The storyline was built up to a dramatic and energetic finale.
