2Ci were contracted to provide the graphics for the press launch of the new England International Football Team World Cup strip. The USP of the strip is that it’s the first International Club strip to have a reversible design (Home and Away colours), something the client wished to communicate with the video graphics. Umbro and the FA required specific graphics at key points in the presentation, highlighting various design features, but they were unable to provide 2Ci with a script, approximate running times or even the basic running order until the night before the event. So to stay flexible, a number of short seamless video graphic loops were created for each segment of the presentation. The graphic’s were mixed live on cue, and the end result was an apparently seamless video sequence edited to the script, displayed on plasma televisions built into the stage walls.
