Virtual VJ (vVJ) was written & created by Kingsley Pratt, exclusively for 2Ci sound to light Ltd, and is a real-time audio-responsive 3D graphics software engine. Developed entirely in-house, vVJ continued to evolve with an impressive R&D programme, being shown live at numerous clubs, arena events and music festivals throughout the UK and at events around the world. The software was purpose written to be programmable with any up-loaded image, 2D animation or motion graphics, 3D model, brand, product, logo or message, presented in either 2D or 3D. It is then able to manipulate the content, reacting in real-time (instantaneously) to any kind of music or sound (e.g. vocals, applause, etc).
As a video jockey tool Virtual VJ is arguably unparalleled in terms of it’s flexibility, speed and responsiveness. Designed from the ground up to be capable of incorporating logo’s and brand ID, vVJ rapidly earned a strong reputation amongst sponsors and promoters alike. vVJ has been used extensively at large scale music events, with audience’s of thousands, as an integral part of the event production. It enables brands to have stronger, bolder and most importantly an integral presence without becoming intrusive. Virtual VJ can generate hours of unique, dynamic, non-repeating graphics.
Virtual VJ has been used for a variety of applications, other than live VJ mixes, including in-venue entertainment, information systems, architectural and production lighting effects, PoS display scenarios and video art installations.
